Hey Todd, Hope things in Perth are busy!
You can finish fixing the stands either way: use thick enough wood to countersink the heads and trim them short, or in my case, I used dome nuts. The dome nuts then basically act as spikes to couple my speaker base to the stand without scratching the finish of the speakers.

Hey Brent how are things?

Just been looking at some speaker stand designs. I was originally looking at getting some K&M stands but thought I'd build some as I'm on a budget. The K&M's work out to be about $450 for LCR. I dig the design you've made.
Just wondering if you used something to seal the round end of the pvc pipe where it meets the plates? Also how did you deal with the bolt heads that would stick out on the other side of the plate once you put it together, did you countersink them somehow or are they a special type of thin flat head so they don't stick out?

Thanks in advance for the tips man...
As always very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Todd.

Very nice indeed! If the audio engineer on budget, it is not really a problem, it makes us more creative, we make better plans.

Waiting for more pics!

Best regards, Tamas
