Self-employed, 2010 – Sumsound and UTS:ProSchool
As you may have read in my blog posts, I have launched a new stage in my career, as a self-employed mixer and trainer. My studio is “Sumsound at Trackdown” and I can be booked for premixing for feature film, or full mix for TV or Digital distribution. Full audio post services can be provided by Trackdown with the mix completed in my theatre.
I am also lecturering the short courses at the UTS:ProSchool, Australia’s first, and longest running Digidesign education partner.

Digidesign Australia and New Zealand – Senior Applications Engineer
(2003-Feb 2010)
As part of the international AVID corporation, my role was to locally represent the Digidesign division amongst the film, radio, music and TV broadcast clients with a strong emphasis on workflow support, operational knowledge and the ICON range of products. Gathering client feedback on where we are and where they want us to go was a large component of my role.
Syncrotech Systems Design – Professional Audio Product Manager, Australia; (2 years)
Syncrotech are a boutique audio infrastructure provider and distributor of international leading brands in the audio broadcast and production industries. My role was to manage Syncrotech’s distribution channel of some 30 music stores domestically, and provide secondary “consultancy” sales support to the GM, typically into government depts and broadcasters such as the ABC or SBS.

Australian Screen Sound Guild
Industry association for the Audio Post production companies that polish, mix, edit and design audio for television and film.

Australian Guild of Music and Speech
An association of music academics devoted to qualification and standards of musical education in partnership with its predecessor, the original London based Guild. My membership of the AGMS qualifies me in their eyes as a proficient singing teacher.
